24/7 Emergency Plumber Dublin
Looking for an emergency plumber in Dublin you can actually reach at 2am? Our phone line stays open around the clock, 365 days a year, including weekends and bank holidays. So when water pours through a ceiling or a pipe bursts, you speak directly to a plumber who can help you stop it.
We cover Dublin city and south Dublin, plus Celbridge, Leixlip and Maynooth in Co. Kildare and the north of Co. Wicklow. Our work includes burst pipes, leaks, toilets, taps, water heaters, electric showers, pumps and water tanks, for homes, landlords, management companies, pubs, restaurants, hotels, B&Bs, petrol stations, offices, factories and warehouses. Because we carry common parts in the van, we finish most repairs on the first visit.
Before we set off, we confirm our hourly rate on WhatsApp, by text or by email. Once you confirm it, we are on our way. We are fully insured, our workmanship carries a 12-month guarantee, and we always clean up before we leave.

Signs You Need an Emergency Plumber in Dublin
Some plumbing problems can wait until Monday. Others get worse with every minute. Call us straight away if:
- a pipe has burst or split
- water is coming through a ceiling or light fitting
- your toilet or cistern is overflowing
- a valve or joint is spraying water
- the heater or pump leaks close to electrics
- you have no water, but your neighbours do
While you wait, turn off the nearest isolation valve or the main stopcock if you can reach it safely. Also, keep away from wet sockets and appliances. If you can't find the stopcock, ring us anyway, because we can usually talk you through it.
Is the leak already under control? Then it may not need a night-time visit at all. In that case, we can often book a daytime slot instead, which costs you less. We will always tell you honestly which option makes more sense.
How Our Dublin Emergency Plumber Service Works
- Call us on 085 816 7910. Tell us your Eircode and what is happening.
- Stop the water. If it is still running, we help you find the right valve over the phone.
- Get our hourly rate in writing. We send it by WhatsApp, text or email, so you know the terms before anything starts. All rates are listed on our Prices page.
- Accept and we set off. As soon as you reply, we head to you and give you a realistic arrival time.
- We find and fix the fault. Then we test every joint we touched and clean up the work area.
- Pay on site. Homeowners, tenants and landlords pay by cash or card once the job is done, or through a secure payment link. Businesses can also pay by bank transfer.
Need paperwork for your insurer? Just ask, and we'll email you a job report covering the cause of the fault and the work we carried out.
Burst Pipes and Water Leaks
Leaks cause more damage than almost any other plumbing fault, and they rarely appear where they start. Water follows pipes and joists for metres before it shows itself. As a result, a damp patch in the hallway might start in a bathroom two rooms away.
We repair and replace copper and plastic water pipes, compression and push-fit joints, stopcocks, isolation valves and flexible hoses. When a damaged section can't stay in service, we fit a new pipe run that suits the existing layout. Where it helps, we use a thermal camera to trace hot-water pipework behind finishes before we open anything up.
A burst pipe is the classic reason to call an emergency plumber in Dublin. Frost, corrosion and stray DIY screws cause most of them. In every case, we isolate the supply first, then cut out the damage and fit a sound repair.

Toilet Repairs and Replacement
An overflowing cistern or a toilet that runs day and night is a common call-out, especially in busy family homes and shared flats. Usually, the cause is a worn fill valve, a tired flush seal or a failed pan connector.
We repair all of these on the spot with standard parts from the van. We also clear local blockages in the pan. However, when a toilet is cracked or too old to repair, we fit a complete replacement that suits your space and the existing connections.
If water is spilling onto the floor and the small valve behind the toilet won't close, that is the moment to ring an emergency plumber in Dublin. Until we arrive, turn off the main stopcock and keep towels around the base.
See our toilet repairs and replacement page for details.
Tap Repairs and Replacement
We work on kitchen taps, basin taps, bath fillers, mono mixers, pillar taps and commercial taps. Typical faults include dripping spouts, leaking cartridges, loose bodies and split flexible connectors under the sink.
Often, a new cartridge or washer is all a tap needs. When the body is worn out, though, a replacement makes more sense. If you'd like to choose the new tap yourself, that's fine. Otherwise, just ask and we'll supply it. On emergency call-outs, we frequently arrive with a new tap in the van, which means your kitchen or bathroom works again the same night.
Customers often ask us to fit missing isolation valves at the same visit. That way, the next leak is much easier to stop.
More on our tap repairs and replacement page.
Water Heater Installation
We install and replace electric water heaters, including immersion units and the undersink and oversink heaters you find in many kitchens, apartments, cafés and offices.
When a heater leaks, the fault is often a valve or connection rather than the unit itself. So we check the fittings first, since that repair costs much less. If the heater has failed, we remove it and fit a suitable replacement.
Where a job needs new electrical work, a qualified electrician must complete that part. Boilers are outside our work too, since gas jobs require an RGI.
Is a heater leaking near a socket? Then cut the power to it, but only if you can reach the switch without touching water, and call an emergency plumber in Dublin straight away.
Visit our water heater installation page.
Electric Shower Repair and Replacement
When an electric shower runs cold, trips the power or starts leaking, we repair it where that is worthwhile, or swap it for a new model that runs off the same supply. The replacement must suit the existing water feed and the kW rating of your circuit.
Before we visit, send us a photo of the existing shower and its rating label, if it is visible from outside. With that, we can check compatibility and bring the right unit, which saves you a second trip.
We don't install electric showers in bathrooms that never had one. That job needs a new circuit, so an electrician has to handle it. Where a shower is old or parts are hard to source, a replacement is usually the safer and cheaper option.
We deal with leaking shower connections at any hour, even when the replacement itself can wait until the morning.

Booster, Well and Sewage Pumps
Many apartments and houses with weak mains pressure rely on a booster pump. Rural homes on the edges of Dublin and Kildare often use well pumps, while basements and extensions may need a sewage or submersible pump.
Signs of trouble include low pressure, a pump that cycles on and off, loud noises, vibration or water around the unit. Still, the pump isn't always the culprit. Clogged filters, partly shut valves and hidden leaks produce very similar signs, which is why we test the whole system first.
When a replacement is necessary, we pick a model sized for your pressure and flow needs, not just a lookalike of the old one. A dead pump that leaves a family without water is a genuine reason to call an emergency plumber in Dublin, day or night.
See our pump services page.
Water Tank Cleaning and Replacement
Plenty of Irish homes still have a cold water storage tank in the attic. Over time, sediment, rust and debris build up at the bottom, and lids crack or go missing.
We empty the tank, clean the inside and disinfect it where appropriate. While we are up there, we also check the lid, the float valve and the visible connections, and we tell you about anything that needs attention.
For businesses, apartment blocks, schools and hotels, we also replace large commercial storage tanks, usually restoring water within a working day. Tank cleaning itself is planned work, so we book it at a convenient time. The exception is a leaking tank or a float valve that won't shut off, because both can soak a ceiling fast. In that situation, call us right away.
Safe access matters, so the attic needs a sound floor or boards around the tank. Read more on our water tank cleaning page.
Waste Pipes, Blockages and Saniflo
Leaking sink traps and loose waste connections often go unnoticed for weeks. Meanwhile, water soaks into kitchen units or the ceiling below. We repair and replace waste pipes and accessible soil pipes, and we lay new waste pipework for relocated sinks, dishwashers and washing machines.
We also clear local blockages in toilets, sinks, basins, baths, showers and urinals. For Saniflo units, we handle new installations and unblocking, although we don't repair their internal motors or electronics.
When several fixtures block at once, or water rises up outside, the cause usually sits well beyond the fixtures themselves. Ring us, describe what you see, and we'll explain the right next step before anyone sets off.

Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Emergency Plumbing in Dublin
Domestic. Residential houses, flats and apartments make up most of our call-outs. Tenants should turn off the water first and then tell the landlord or agent. Landlords, letting agents and property management companies deal with us directly. They receive our rate in writing and get a short update after the job, which suits apartment blocks with shared plant rooms and risers. Payment is by cash or card on completion, or by payment link.
Commercial. As commercial plumbers, we work in pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, hotels, B&Bs, petrol stations, shops, offices, coffee shops, gyms, schools, clinics and care homes. A leak in a kitchen, guest bathroom or customer toilet can close a business for the day. So tell us about opening hours, parking, loading bays and who holds the plant room keys. Our van fits under most car park height barriers.
Industrial. As industrial plumbers, we serve factories, warehouses, logistics units and workshops, which rely on toilets, welfare facilities, water supply and pumps to keep staff on site. We repair pipework, valves, pumps and sanitary fittings, and we can work around shift patterns to limit downtime. Commercial and industrial customers can also pay by bank transfer.
Whatever the property, we focus on stopping the water first and getting everything working again as quickly as possible.
Emergency Plumber Dublin FAQs
Do you really answer the phone 24/7?
Yes. We answer day and night, 365 days a year, including weekends, bank holidays and Christmas Day. When we can't attend quickly enough, we tell you straight away.
How quickly can you get to me?
That depends on your location, the roads at that hour and our current workload. We give you a realistic arrival time when we confirm the booking, rather than a promise we can't keep.
How much does an emergency plumber cost?
Labour is billed hourly, on top of a call-out fee. Weekday office hours are the cheapest, while evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays carry a higher rate. We send you our rate in writing ahead of the journey, and any estimate is a guide only. See our Prices page.
What payment methods do you accept?
Domestic customers and landlords settle the bill on site at the end of the job, by cash or card. We can also send a secure payment link. Business customers have the extra option of bank transfer.
What We Do and Don't Do
Do you repair boilers or gas appliances?
No. We are not RGI-registered, and in Ireland only a Registered Gas Installer can work on gas. For boilers and gas appliances, please contact an RGI.
Do you install new electric showers?
We repair or replace existing electric showers on a suitable supply. However, a first-time installation needs a new electrical circuit, so an electrician has to do it.
Do you carry parts in the van?
Yes. The van holds a stock of common valves, fittings, flexible hoses, cartridges and toilet parts, so we complete most repairs in one visit. We can also supply a new tap on request.
Can I get a report for my insurer?
Yes. On request, we send a written report after the job. It explains what failed, what we found and what we repaired.
More answers are on our FAQ page.
